A daughter of EXAR Guru set the standard at the 2022 Pollard Farms Female sale when she sold for $210,000 to the partnership of EZ Angus Ranch and Spruce Mountain Ranch and the natural calf she was carrying by the ORIgen sire EXAR Cover The Bases went on to be the $200,000 top selling female of the 2023 EZ Fall Female Sale where a daughter of Guru was a $50,000 bred heifer.
The first calf crop by Guru was headlined by the $120,000 Lot 1 female of the 2020 EZ Angus Ranch Female Sale with two more sold for $37,500 and $24,000 in the 2020 sale at Spruce Mountain Ranch with his full sister setting the standard of the 2020 Big Event at Express when half interest of her sold for $100,000 and the $32,500 top-selling bull of the Fall 2021 Express Bull Sale EXAR Jackpot 0226B has become the fourth generation of his sire line to be featured at ORIgen and the 12 sons of Guru in that sale commanded an average price of $8,958 as the top sire group of 10 or more head.
The $80,000 half-interest top-selling Lot 1 bull of the 2019 Express Spring Bull Sale whose sire sold two thirds interest there for $80,000 two years before, Guru was the lead bull of the popular Express Pen of Three Bulls at the 2019 National Western Stock Show that was the first pen of three ever exhibited where all three bulls offered a $Beef value index of +200 or more!
The dam of Guru is a maternal sister to the $60,000 half-interest EZAR Gold Rush whose flush sister is a $230,000 valued female among the greatest ever bred at EZ Angus Ranch and the grandam of Guru was the $77,500 top-selling fall pair of a past Big Event at Express that has become a cornerstone donor at EZ Angus Ranch continuing the tradition of her dam that topped a past Big Event at $175,000 as a bred heifer who went on to become a cornerstone donor for Deer Valley and Vintage.
